I like depositing with a prepaid card.
Though I can’t speak for every online casino player, I personally have a preferred casino deposit method. For me, it’s the Paysafecard casino payment option.
What is Paysafecard?🤔 It’s a prepaid card/voucher that is available for purchase in a whole whack of countries. In Ontario, you can buy it either at a local convenience store or online via Topmeup or PC Game Supply.
While Paysafecard is a popular casino deposit method, it can be used for much more than funding your online casino account. Like a prepaid Mastercard or Visa card, which you can use in virtually any place that accepts either credit card payment, a paysafecard prepaid voucher can be used to buy stuff in a place that accepts Paysafecard as a payment method.
Why do I like the Paysafecard casino payment option?
Ideally, I’m a PayPal user, and would totally use PayPal if it were a casino deposit method offered where I play, but it’s not. 😮💨 The options available to me at the casino I play at are:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Interac
- Interac e-transfer
- Paysafecard
- MuchBetter
I considered Interac, but liked the idea of the paysafecard casino payment more. Why?
- It’s easy to obtain (you can buy it at most local convenience stores, Canada Post outlet, etc. or buy it online – which is what I did).
- You don’t have to provide bank account or credit card details to get it (and you don’t need to provide your bank details to the casino either!).
- You can buy it with different payment methods – cash, debit, credit card, PayPal, etc. (payment options depend on where you buy it).
- You only need a 16-digit code to make a Paysafecard casino payment.
- I can control how much I deposit because I’m limited to the amount that’s on the card
You also have the option to sign up directly with Paysafecard which gives you a bunch of other perks. However, I just wanted the card registration-free. If you’re curious, these are the different ways to pay online with Paysafecard, according to their official site.
Where did I get my paysafecard?
In case you’re wondering I bought my very first paysafecard online at PC Game Supply. I could have taken a 7-minute walk to the Hasty Market that’s closest to me to get it in person, but I’m lazy 🤣).
When I decided to buy it online, I was originally going to get it from Topmeup (you can buy it with Visa, Mastercard or Interac), but they wanted me to send photo ID, and I didn’t want to do that because I find it to be a serious nuisance, and I also like to limit the number of companies that have copies of my photo ID when I can. Plus, PC Game Supply accepts PayPal, so that also made it an instant winner for me.
Buying it was piece of cake at PC Game Supply (at least it was in my experience). Select Paysafecard and the amount that you want ($10, $30, $50, $100, $150, or $250). You then add it to your cart and register an account with PC Game Supply if you don’t have one (sign up is free), or login in if you do. From there, choose how you want to pay (I picked PayPal – Interac is also available). You then follow the checkout process.
Although I didn’t need to send photo ID, I did have to provide my mobile number to get a code I could use for verification, I also had to send them a voice recording in which I had to state my name, address and what I just purchased to verify the authenticity of the purchase. This was easy and far preferable to me than sending over ID documents. Within 5 minutes of sending the short recording, I received my Paysafecard digital voucher info in my email.
It’s also worth noting that there is an activation fee when you buy Paysafecard, which you can see in the image I included above.
And, of course, I don’t have stock in PC Game Supply.😂 It’s up to you where you choose to get your voucher if the Paysafecard casino payment method is the way you want to go.
It’s easy to make a Paysafecard casino payment.
In my experience, making Paysafecard casino deposits at an online casino is one of the easiest things I’ve ever done and is ultra-quick. Where I play, there is a 5.0% fee to deposit with his method and the minimum deposit is $9.50.
Deposit fees are common at many Ontario casinos. This is important to remember, especially if you’re using Paysafecard, because the card only has so much on it. In other words, if your card is $100, you won’t be able to deposit the full $100 because it won’t cover the deposit fee.
To make my Paysafecard casino payment to fund my account, I simply click the “Deposit” button, select Paysafecard from the methods, enter the amount I want to deposit, add the 16-digit voucher number associated with the card I bought, agree to all the terms, etc., and click “Pay”.
Ta-da!🎉 Paysafecard casino deposit complete. Seconds later, my money is in my casino account.
So, what about you? Do you like the Paysafecard casino payment option for deposits or do you have a different preferred banking method?🤑 I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below.
Until next time, good luck and have fun!
